Food Forest, Chinese Medicine & Annual Gardens

The owner of this property has a TCM (Traditional Chinese Medicine) business and this was incorporated into her design.  The Elements have been planted in her healing gardens by the house with plants that work for her zone that correlate to the Elements as broken down by Chinese Medicine.  Also in the annual garden the I Ching is reflected in the layout (Heaven on Earth are the hexagrams that display this message)  In this design we wanted to integrate the ideas she had for her land in a staged approach.  Starting with expanding her current annual gardens to be much larger, interplant her orchard and increase diversity, create a privacy screen from the neighbors property next door and create the space for future B&B accommodations and Farm to Table experiences for her clients and guests.
