About Me
Julia
Julia has Bachelor of Science & is a Permaculture Designer. After graduating from University in 2017, Julia cycled through various jobs searching for a way to both make a living and make a difference in the world. After the 2020 world crisis, discovering Permaculture gave her a feeling of great hope, as the ethics and principles were easy to interweave into her life. Then, in 2021 she received her Permaculture Design Certificate.
Since earning her design certification, she has been actively developing and involving herself with a strong network of earth-loving colleagues and friends. This led to a mentorship with Graham and Lindsay, from Permaculture Canada, which has greatly enhanced her digital design and “boots on the ground” skills.
An avid student, she has a background in Psychology and Biology, as well as a love for reading and furthering her knowledge in various topics, including: Non-Violent Communication, Herbal Medicine and Buddhism. She enjoys networking and has contributed to organizing events that focus on sharing skills in a community setting. She has a passion for living life in a slow and mindful way. Julia enjoys traveling, foraging, hiking, and swimming in lakes.
In order to expand her skill set, she seeks to advance her education by studying Forest Farming, Natural Building, and Greywater Recycling. She also has a passion for Ecopsychology and would love to design spaces and rituals for people to expand their connection to the land and to themselves. The ultimate goal would be to design her life in a way that incorporates her many passions.
