Today marks seven months exactly since Permaculture Canada (PC) evolved from Food Forest Canada! It has been quite the journey as people have joined the mission and aligned with the vision ahead. I am grateful for all of the support I have received in taking the plunge into something dynamic and expanding in regenerative solutions for the world.

Armagarden is established within PC and all our custom design services and shop are live and on the website.

I’d like to take this opportunity to celebrate the expanding network that we have made contact with. The reverberation of what we are doing is contagious, exciting and attractive to many!

Developing a corporation that is capable of the work we are lined up to do has been challenging and rewarding in so many ways!

After all this, it’s time to be shifting gears~ level up! Our design team structure and support is in place and it’s time to organize the network connections we have made and bring energetic flow for a circular economy! More to come next newsletter~

We visited and recorded site visit material for 18 sites. So far, 8 site visit videos have been released and many are in the queue.

Lindsay is mentoring a budding Permaculture designer on how to render digital design, and through this process creating course content to be offered in the future. Right now she is posting her tutorials for free and they are available for all for a limited time, so please do subscribe to the YouTube channel to get the benefit of those while they are free and accessible for all!

We have over 100 people in our Telegram chat group where we encourage conversations, questions, suggestions and shares~ a place to chat and connect with each other across the interwebs and our world!

We attended and spoke at the Kootenay Resilience Festival, Alberta Farm Days, Radmycofest & Olds College for the students of the horticulture school.

We took part in an on-line summit Freedom, Family and Finances. (Note: The link takes you to a registration page where you can pay to have access to the entire summit recording for 24 different interviews.)

We attended our first of many monthly Live Events to come with Vine Permaculture. We are sharing our knowledge of what to do each month. It’s a wide-open conversation and other designers on the team can also join the conversation and add to the energy and knowledge of around culture solutions for the garden bringing practical knowledge for people to put to use right away! We joined the Alberta Native Plant Council & Lindsay Brandon (CEO) became a board member at the Bow River Basin Council.

We are now also part of the Alberta Stewardship Directory.

Our COO, Graham Towerton became a board member of Great Rivers and Lakes Permaculture Institute covering the six Midwest states of Wisconsin, Illinois, Ohio, Michigan, Indiana and Kentucky and affiliated with the Permaculture Institute of North America.

We will be attending the Acres USA Eco-Ag Conference in Madison, Wisconsin (December 2-5). Join us there as we hear from the many speakers including Gabe Brown, Joel Salatin, Mark Shepard, Matt Powers and many more!
